BlogHer '12 Sponsorship: Promo Love Package

Price: (Name Your Price)

Promo Love Package is different than all of the other packages. This is a flexi-priced package that allows my sponsor to either provide products for review or distribution. Many companies are interested in having their brand promoted at BlogHer, but may not have the budget or means to invest in a higher priced sponsorship. Therefore, I have created a budget-safe package for smaller or start-up companies that are interested in having their name seen during the BlogHer conference.

$0.00! You may elect to sponsor MamaNYC with a $0 cost for your company. However, I will require compensation in the form of product to balance the efforts that I will put into promoting your company. For example, if you are selling a widget that costs $10.00 each and you would like me to sport your hat, post your 125×125 banner on my blog for 1-year, and distribute materials at BlogHer (swag safe zones): We will do the math by configuring the annual cost of advertising on MamaNYC, distribution costs and promotion at BlogHer, and level that out with the idea of ME (me!) wearing a hat for three days. This cost divided by $10.00 will equal products in exchange for my efforts. This is very flexible (very!), but I want to mention that although I am including a $0.00 sponsorship package, there is a cost that will come with promotion and street marketing for your product.

Promo Love Package includes:
(each of these tasks completed between August 2-4, 2012 unless noted or sponsor preferred date change):

  • Product Review
  • Product GIveaway (optional)
  • Swag Distribution
    • Although product and material (swag) distribution is not permitted at the BlogHer conferences, MamaNYC will be attending luncheons, gatherings, meetup’s, hotel parties, and other events that are safe from the BlogHer policies. Literature, sponsor swag, or gifts may be distributed within the conference space. However, your swag will be distributed to over 100+ (easily!) fellow bloggers to help spread the word. (Read more at BlogHer.com)
    • Outside of BlogHer: I am a very active community member in my neighborhood, which means word of mouth marketing for your company. My neighbors, friends, clients, and family members are always asking for suggestions and information on the hottest companies I have worked with. Your name will be spread like wildfire throughout the NYC playgrounds! Doesn’t sound THAT appealing? How about 8 monthly playgroups, mommy and me sessions, and Mom Parties (hosted by MamaNYC)? My monthly interaction with other parents, women, consumers and strangers falls into the range of 300-700 different individuals.

Sponsoring MamaNYC
As a stay-at-home mom, blogging has become more than an outlet or a hobby. I have been blogging for approximately 5-years (off and on), but found my niche after my son was born, MamaNYC. I started blogging as a ‘mom blogger’ when I began my journey as a SAHM (stay-at-home mom).

Transitioning from marketing executive in Manhattan to SAHM was difficult, but I knew the rewards would be great. I am a workaholic and always need a variety of projects on my lap. While others feel joy when their inbox or desk is empty, I feel empty and bored. I love staying busy and MamaNYC helps me connect with other parents around the world.

I have worked in e-commerce, marketing, web design, and consumer relations for over a decade. I’ve worked with small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. Trading in my corporate dress suit for jeans and a t-shirt has been a rewarding experience, which has shocked all of those that know me.

I’ve learned more as a mom blogger here at MamaNYC over the past 2+ years than a decade in the corporate world. I am able to network and learn about thousands of products and companies each year, which is a blessing and passion. I have an extensive background in marketing and business, which creates an excellent mix when combined with product review blogging.

I am a full-time Graduate student pursuing an MBA with a concentration in marketing. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2010 and decided to pursue an MBA since I plan to teach college courses online upon completion of Graduate school. I am currently working as a peer tutor, academic coach, mentor and course assistant (Internet Marketing and Consumer Behavior) for undergraduate students

Translating your experience with a product into words can be difficult for many. I have always had a passion for writing and babbling with my girlfriends about the hottest trends and new products. Being able to do my "babbling" on MamaNYC has given me a chance to share my opinions and experiences with thousands, as opposed to my smaller inner-circle of friends. I am a stickler when it comes to grammatical errors, spelling, and punctuation. Private high school will do that to you. 6-hour trimesters and 8-hour finals were considered a nightmare during high school, but as an adult I can appreciate the strick writing and journalism courses that were enforced each year.

Sponsoring MamaNYC for the 2012 BlogHer conference in New York City will help improve my knowledge and skills as a blogger. The education that I receive at the conference will translate into significant rewards and benefits for your company as I will be able to excel the quality standards and content here on MamaNYC.

Was possibly going to create my own blog – BlogHer might be something I might consider attending to get more background and the feasibility of getting it off the ground. Not afraid of hard work – this review very interesting, has peaked my curiosity…recurring conventions ? Will give it some serious thought. Thanks for the insightful information.
