Rainy Day NYC … Dark, Dreary, Cold – Spring, Please?

 Wordless Wednesday Rainy Day Brooklyn

Here’s the view outside of our house today.

I’m really eager and anxious for Spring to arrive.

Such a dark and depressing view, right?

Aah.. I can’t resist! Here’s something to turn that frown upside down!

My name is Nicole Napolitano and I am a full-time professional parenting blogger and work-at-home mom of two adorable and vivacious children (boy - 6 & girl - 2.5). I decided to develop MamaNYC in 2010 shortly (1-month) after transitioning from work-a-holic Internet marketing pro to the shoes of a stay-at-home mom (bored!). As a dedicated business manager for over 9-years, I was determined and positive that I would once again be a successful business woman -- whether or not I had a diaper bag tagging along! I am a New York City native, but relocated with my husband and our two kids to sunny Los Angeles in the summer of 2014. Leaving everything behind was scary, but it's time to make new memories. My interests include web design, Internet marketing, product development and research, SEO, movies, friends, and spending time with my family.

  1. First off, I can’t imagine winter with no snow..I can’t see any snow in your picture, thats insane! Your little sweet precious girl is so adorable and her little outfit looks so warm!

  2. We got a lot of rain the past day or so but this weekend we had our first taste of great spring weather. Not much snow this winter but I’m okay with that. Your baby girl is such a cutie pie! Love the hat!

  3. That is exactly what I have been seing out my window for the past 2 months! I am, too, ready for Spring! And specially Summer!

PS: Your little girl is so CUTE!!

  4. She’s a princess!
You can snuggle up to her and everything will feel perfect. Oh, and maybe read a book while you’re at it. Ah, I miss my son being that small. 🙂

  5. As you have no snow I can understand why you’d hate this rainy day. It’s raining here today but that’s ok because the snow is dropping fast 🙂

  6. Awww, such a cute pic of the baby. Born and raised in Michigan and now for the past 8-9 years living in Georgia…what a difference. I so remember those dreary days. Here, so much sunshine and nice days most of the time. It really is depressing.

  7. Rainy yesterday but today it is sunny and blustery. I love the pink outfit on your adorable baby daughter.

  8. I am so ready for spring to hurry up and get here, like you I find that dark and dreary look kind of depressing. I look forward to the birds chirping and being able to be outside again. Hurry Spring!!! The baby is adorable and alot easier to look at than the dark dreary outside, so precious!

  9. I live in NYC too, Riverdale. It’s been a gray, chilly week. Please, let it get warmer! I can’t wait to get back into my routine of taking nice long walks.

  10. I love her hat 🙂 And I agree, I’m tired of the cold weather as well. Can’t wait to run around in shorts again. :p
