Debt Settlement Attorneys

There was a time (long, long ago) when things like credit scores, debt, and credit card balances didn’t mean anything to me. Sure, I thought about them, but how much weight do those issues seriously have on a young adult? Luckily, I didn’t bury myself too deep into debt prior to getting married and becoming a mom in 2009. However, I quickly discovered just how easy it was to become buried in an endless pile of bills and endless debt with no end in sight. That’s why I want to talk to all of you about debt and credit card settlement options. We’re ALL going through these issues and whether we want to think about it or not – we must discuss!debt settlement credit cards

As soon as my son was born, our bills started to pile up. As soon as I would pay off a debt, our new monthly statements were delivered — and they were doubling, tripling, and making me sick! How did we go from a lofty savings account into a pile of debt? Were kids seriously THIS expensive? Apparently they are — and they don’t get any cheaper as the years go by. Now we’re adding a second child to our family next week, so I am eager to pick up the pace on our debt since I am well aware of the tremendous financial stress we will be thrown into this year. Doubling our children means doubling our bills.

One idea that I’ve been considering (quite seriously, actually) is hiring an attorney to assist us with debt settlement options for our credit cards and other revolving balances that I cannot seem to handle. There are a lot of options out there and a bankruptcy attorney, such as Wadwani & Shanfeld, could really help our family out (majorly!!!).

I’ve been trying to do it on my own for nearly 4-years. I’ve made a dent, but that isn’t enough. I’m looking to make a MAJOR change for our family and encourage a brighter future for all of us. There is nothing like being held down by debt. It’s the worst feeling in the world and the idea of an attorney being able to take that weight off of our shoulders sounds like a dream come true for all of us.

My name is Nicole Napolitano and I am a full-time professional parenting blogger and work-at-home mom of two adorable and vivacious children (boy - 6 & girl - 2.5). I decided to develop MamaNYC in 2010 shortly (1-month) after transitioning from work-a-holic Internet marketing pro to the shoes of a stay-at-home mom (bored!). As a dedicated business manager for over 9-years, I was determined and positive that I would once again be a successful business woman -- whether or not I had a diaper bag tagging along! I am a New York City native, but relocated with my husband and our two kids to sunny Los Angeles in the summer of 2014. Leaving everything behind was scary, but it's time to make new memories. My interests include web design, Internet marketing, product development and research, SEO, movies, friends, and spending time with my family.

  1. I’m the mommy of 2 little boys and I know what debt feels like! It seems ever other week some one needs a new something and doctor bills and dentist bills. Every time I pay something off I get another huge bill!
Thank you for this post I will def. be checking into settling my debt 🙂

  2. Oh, man, Nicole, I know the feeling. I once didn’t give much thought to my credit at one point and it has now prevented me from doing the things I want in life. I have been slowly trying to work on it the past couple of years. It can be so overwhelming! Glad to know I am not alone.

  3. I can totally relate to this. I was fine when I was single, maintaining more than 3 credit cards. I was able to pay them all. But now that I have a child and using just 1 card, I’m having a very difficult time. I can’t pay off even just the interest or the minimum amount. And now, it piled up already. I’m having problems with trying to loan from banks to pay these off, it’s always declined. I’m not sure if it’s because of my bad record. I would definitely consult a debt settlement lawyer. I want a clean slate, a right beginning for this year. We need to get this load off our backs. Thanks for this post.
