Puj Flyte Compact Infant Bath for Travel
I was very excited when an opportunity came along to review the brand new Puj Flyte compact infant bath here on MamaNYC! Now that I have reached the halfway mark of my pregnancy, I am starting to think of all the necessities and must-have’s, which we are either replacing or buying new (since we’re having a girl this time around!). We have a lot of products to use as hand-me-down’s that were saved from my son, but our infant bath tub was tossed to the curb for several reasons.
Let’s quickly learn a little bit about Puj and their products.

ABOUT THE PUJ FLYTE
Bathing our son when he was a newborn was far from easy. There was the issue of leaning over to reach him as he lay in HIS infant bathtub inside of our tub. Talk about back pain and leg cramps – ouch!
We considered using our kitchen sink, but our infant tub was tremendous and much too bulky to fit into the kitchen or bathroom sink. Obviously, I could not place him into the sink without any support since he had no strength in his neck or the ability to sit up straight.
The Puj Flyte is an infant bath that will fit perfectly inside of your sink, compact and flatten to ensure easy transport while traveling, and keep baby perfectly safe while you are bathing your newborn or infant. There are a lot of great features and specifics that we love about the Flyte, but I think the first quality that I noticed and loved: compact for travel!
We did a good deal of traveling when my son was an infant, which meant extreme difficulty when it came to bathing. There was NO way that I was going to be transporting our bulky infant tub through an airport, so traveling with an infant meant wash cloths and a lot of patience.
While on a cruise when my son was 4-months old, I had a lot of difficulty trying to bathe him inside of the tiny cabin bathroom. The Flyte is a product that would have been very handy for us circa 3-years ago! The Flyte folds completely flat and the compacted shape makes it very easy to fit into a suitcase.
The Flyte is made of an extremely flexible material that forms perfectly inside of any sink, creating the security and support necessary to cradle your baby while bathing. It is also mold and mildew resistent, which means it will dry quickly enough to avoid any bacteria! I tested this out and sure enough, I learned that my Puj Flyte would be completely dry and water-free in under 2-minutes!
The material seemed to dry in an insant, but I decided to say 2-minutes since it wasn’t 110% drop free until about 1.5-2 minutes had passed. Considering our old tub had to be dried off with a towel, I was amazed to say the least! That’s one less thing I need to worry about after bathing my newborn. I was ALSO able to ensure a quick and easy dry thanks to the Flyte’s ability to hang flat! The hook is sold separately, but I was able to use a hanger and watched as my Flyte dried quickly.
In order to design a compact and small infant bath, Puj eliminated all of the unnecessary excess features that we normally find with an infant bath, which is fine by me! The end result is a simple, elegant, and frills-free tub that will do the job no matter where you are or where you are going!
While one may say the tub looks boring, I personally think the design is sleek and modern! When I think about our old fancy (and ridiculous!) infant tub, I don’t know why we needed such a big bath for our newborn! It wasn’t like he was caring too much about the colorful designs or features, such as the jacuzzi jets accessory that we only used one time!
We definitely learned a lot about the products that we need and do NOT need during our experience as first time parents. Now that I know better, I will definitely be purchasing products that are easier to handle and travel with as opposed to seeking out fancy and unnecessary accessories!
All that our son cared about was feeling clean and fresh, which was our main priority, too! The Puj Flyte compact infant bath is definitely a top-notch product that will make our lives much simpler and easier when our little girl arrives in January!
Since our little girl won’t be here until January, I was granted permission from my son to use his teddybear for review purposes here on MamaNYC! (Okay, I won’t lie).. This was all my sons idea, but I agreed and also thought it would be a great idea to help show all of you the perfect fit for a baby! I really like how the baby’s head fits right in it. I remember with my kids their heads where always at an awkward position.
This is really a great innovation for bathing babies. The larger tubs I and many others had could not be used for traveling and were much too bulky
This is perfect! We travel quite a bit, and this would be easily packed in our suitcase, without taking up much space.
This looks like a great product for a baby shower gift! My niece is expecting her first baby in a few days and i’d love to buy her one of these. I think it’s a much better baby bathtub for a newborn than the ones that you put into an adult tub and wonderful for traveling with, too. Thanks for the great review!
