The Bronx Zoo
The Wild Forest: A LEGO Safari!
The Bronx Zoo’s latest event, The Wild Forest: A LEGO Safari, is coming to an end on Monday, September 3rd! Guess where I am heading tomorrow with my family!? That’s right! We’ll be venturing to our favorite New York City zoo for a fun-filled family day! The LEGO Safari at the Bronx Zoo features lifesized sculpted animals out of .. LEGO’s!
As an ambassador for the Wildlife Conservation Society, I have enjoyed many great events this summer at all of our local zoo’s and aquariums. Each of them is unique and special in their very own way, which gives us something to look forward to each and every trip that we take – no matter which zoo we choose to visit!
We are especially excited to stop by the Bronx Zoo’s latest exhibit tomorrow, which features some of our favorite animals sculpted by LEGO’s! No matter how many times we check out The Wild Forest: A LEGO Safari, I always watch my little boy’s face light up in excitement!

LEGO Build Zone
With thousands of colorful LEGO bricks to choose from, kids can create their own sculptures of animals and help complete a vibrant Mystery Mural display at Dancing Crane Plaza. We will also display visitors’ own LEGO creations on bookshelves for all to see
Wildlife Theater
This summer through September 3, Wildlife Theater actors will perform interactive, kid-friendly shows about animals and their habitats. Each show uses live actors, puppets and props to promote awareness of wildlife conservation. Catch them in the Wild Forest exhibit area each Wednesday–Sunday, and on weekends and holidays at the Fisher-Price Discovery Stage.

LEGO Animal Displays
Check out the new LEGO sculptures built especially for the Bronx Zoo, on view just outside Zoo Center’s rhinoceros exhibit in our Wild Forest area. Information on the featured animals and their work to conserve each attraction is included in the displays.

Avenue Zoo
Join Kate Monster on her trip from Off-Broadway’s Avenue Q to the Bronx Zoo’s Avenue Zoo! Kate’s musical journey begins when she misses her stop home, and ends up on Avenue ZOO. Tag along on her wild adventure as she meets various animals and learns that they aren’t so scary after all. * Shows take place at Asia Plaza, Thursday–Sunday throughout the summer.

The Bronx Zoo’s LEGO Safari attraction will be coming to an end on Monday, September 3rd! Whether or not you are able to squeeze in a last minute trip with your family, I would definitely try to plan a day at the zoo before the 2012 season comes to an end.

Oh-I love the Bronx Zoo but have not been there in ages. It is only a short drive down the Bronx River Parkway from where I live. Maybe I’ll go kidnap some kids (only kidding!!!!)–The Lego exhibit sounds great–I know you will have a really fun time there and encourage anyone from the area to go there!!

I am sure you will enjoy your trip. Those Lego animal sculptures are unbelievable. I haven’ t been to the Bronx Zoo in so long. I really should make the time and go there again.
Oh how I would love to be in New York right now! I used to live in NJ just 30 to 45 minutes to New York City and then I moved to the west coast, and now I’m in South Florida but I miss all the great things that NYC offers and one of course has to be the Bronx Zoo! I’m having my baby boy in 3 weeks and when he’s of age, that’s one of the places that I have on my list for him to discover and see! I love that they have a Lego exhibit that must look amazing! I hope they keep that up in the future as well so that my boy can see it. Thanks for linking their info as well, it makes it helpful to research. In 4 months we plan to go up north and hubby and I might just go there
