Kids II Ingenuity Automatic Baby Bouncer Chair
Now that we’re expecting our second child in January, I am starting to think about all of the accessories and baby "stuff" that has to either be replaced or upgraded. Sure, I did all of this less than 4-years ago, but a lot changes in that amount of time in terms of technology, product safety, and design. That’s precisely the reason why I was ecstatic to review the Kids II InGenuity Automatic Bouncer! The baby bouncer is such a necessity for newborns and infants, so I am pleased to bring you a review for a highly recommended product!
Automatic – what?!
Yep, I had the same reaction as I remembered the soreness that would build in my arms as I bounced my son to sleep in our old baby bouncer! Prior to the birth of our son, I remember both my husband and I were uncertain about how useful the baby bouncer would actually be on a daily basis. We positioned it in the nursery back in the corner (way back) as we thought it wouldn’t be used too much. Boy, we were VERY wrong.

A baby bouncer is THE must-have baby product on our list; it is something that I highly recommend to first-time parents before ANYTHING else. What I learned after our first baby bouncer is that you need to have an AMAZING bouncer. They are inexpensive, but make sure you are buying one with all of the bells and whistles; be sure it will outlast your infant as ours was thrown to the curb on its last leg (literally).
The InGenuity Bouncer from Kids II is adorably designed to begin with! The pattern and texture swatch on the outside of the box had me at hello! The padded seat makes me jealous that I don’t have a bouncer for myself as the comfortable and soft material will definitely rock your baby into a sound sleep!

"Comfort your child using a natural bouncing motion supplied by this automatic bouncer from InGenuity. The bouncer plays music or soothing nature sounds while using a cradling motion that features a natural-like bounce. The padded seat includes a safety harness, and a toy bar with 2 plush toys dangling from the bouncer top provides the baby with something to play with. A 30-minute timer is included to stop the bouncer automatically when desired."

I fell in love with the idea of an automatic baby bouncer from the moment the InGenuity Automatic Bouncer arrived at our doorstep. I sat and watched it rock in such a natural motion that it felt too good to be true! The InGenuity bouncer featured 30-minutes of continuos automatic bouncing, which is the perfect amount of time to nestle your little one into dreamland! There are 8 different melodies and 3 nature sounds to choose from so that you can decide which tune is best for your baby!
Since Baby #2 will not arrive until January, I decided to invite my girlfriend and her newborn over for lunch! Her little girl was the perfect reviewer and gave me a hand testing out the InGenuity Automatic Bouncer. My girlfriend told me that she thought her baby bouncer was "good enough" and reviews online rated the safety pretty good.
Once her daughter was nestled under the comfortable harness and automatically bounced into her midday nap, I saw my girlfriends eyes light up! She was amazed and told me this product definitely deserved a positive review – especially after knowing her daughter never falls asleep so quickly and soundly!

Her little girl was giggling and smiling at these adorable stuffed zoo animals above her head. It was the sweetest thing!
The adorable design and detailed embroidered harness and bouncer lining isn’t the only thing to love about this bouncer, but definitely a great selling point!
Now we’ll talk about the actual bouncing part!
This Automatic Bouncer from Kids II features a great safety harness to strap and secure your infant so that mom and dad can rest assured that their little one will protected from any dangers!

While you may not think it is so important for newborns and smaller infants, of course this will become a huge issue as your baby begins to wiggle and squirm, flip, roll, and ultimately become big enough to pull him or herself up and out of the bouncer. That will be the sign that your little one has outgrown the bouncer; I was almost in tears when that happened with our son (I am being completely serious!).
Kids II recommends their InGenuity Automatic Bouncer for infants 0-6 months, so you will know when it is time to put it into storage! We used our bouncer for everything from nap time, hanging out, settling our son after a crying fit, feedings, and playtime!
You will get a great amount of use out of your bouncer, so how about cleaning it?
This baby bouncer is machine washable. The fabric seat is removed in its entirety and can be tossed into the wash.

So cute. I love that it bounces on its own. I wish I would have seen this when I was shopping for bouncers.
This is a big improvement from the one years ago you had to set and rock yourself.
