This week I am at BlogHer ’12 here in New York City. I love my city, a lot. When I say I LOVE NYC, I mean I LOVE-LOVE my city. Why? Well, I was born and raised here, but I did a lot of traveling, so I do know what else is out there. New York has a rich history, variety of cultures, and such diversity that I could never feel bored.
There is SO much to love about my city and I would LOVE to rundown the list, but … that would probably take weeks and eventually you would all grow tired of it. However, I thought it would be cool to rundown at least a TOP 5 list! Each day that I am at BlogHer (August 1-5), I am going to post one reason why I love New York City. REASON #1
City, Country, Beach – ’nuff said!
Living dead center New York City, I get to see a variety of just about everything and anything that my heart desires. One of my favorite things is being able to decide whether I want to go lay in the sun (beach) take a drive into Upstate New York (country), or enjoy the sites and sounds of Manhattan (city). I can do all of this within a 20-mile radius!

I think it is wonderful to be able to take advantage of these three options, although it can take some planning if you don’t want to be stuck for hours in the traffic trying to get to 9 and come back from) the beach or country
I cannot wait to visit the Big Apple! I am so used to the stereotypical, televised NY with skyscrapers and yellow cabs. I never thought to appreciate it is more diverse than that. Cannot wait to explore the city, the country and the beach.
I never really thought about the beach and NYC together. My daughter visited NYC and has a friend that lived there. She always said it would be great to live there for a year, but then she would want a quieter pace. Glad that you found the right combination for you. Can’t wait to hear more reasons.
I have been there once and stayed a week. What a wonderful vibrant city!
I wish I can visit and tour around nyc. I have a friend that work there.
The city is an amazing place to live. No matter what you want to do, it is here. The beach is my favorite, and luckily it’s just a train ride away. I like to get up really early and spend the whole day there.
