Between my son and niece, I am always finding myself watching a Dora The Explorer DVD or an episode on Nickelodeon. She is always finding herself on a new adventure, which always teach a lesson or some sort of educational tools are embedded into the moral of the story! When we received Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure, I knew that the kids would insist that I put it on that second!

As always, I found the kids dancing and singing to the tunes and moving along with Dora and friends! There are plenty of problem solving scenarios featured on the DVD, which we really enjoyed and the kids get to think as they WATCH. Implementing educational tools, skills, or lessons into television programming seems to be a vital necessity for children; we prefer to choose shows our son will learn from as opposed to the opposite!  

How many times have we watched this Dora the Explorer DVD since arrival? Let’s just say – a lot! My son and niece always ask to watch Dora DVD’s whenever they have a play date – and I am happy to press play on Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure! Thumbs up from MamaNYC!

In “Dora’s Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure,” Dora and Boots are practicing for the Fantastic Gymnastics Show when Dora gets a special delivery – a beautiful rainbow ribbon.  This means that Dora gets to start the show with her ribbon dance!  But Swiper comes in and swipes the ribbon and the show can’t start until Dora gets it back.  Dora and Boots set out on an adventure to find the ribbon so she can perform her special routine.

Pinto is really excited about the Big Horse Show and he’d like to win his very first blue prize ribbon.  Dora, Boots, and Pinto are taking a train to the show, but the train breaks down and they worry they won’t be able to make it!

Swiper’s Favorite Things

Swiper is packing all of his favorite things for a sleepover at his Grandma’s House – his pajama trunk, his favorite puppy book, and his very special funny bunny.  Just as he is about to leave, a big wind gust comes in and blows everything away! Dora and Swiper journey to Crocodile Lake, through the Jumbled Trees, and race to Strawberry Hill to get Swiper’s favorite things back.
