BlogHer Conference Day 1:
Things To Do on MamaNYC While I’m @ BlogHer
So, I don’t mean to start this BlogHer Conference post series off to a bad start, so let me explain what I am intending or proposing here. I don’t mean you are likely LOST without me, but I am going to be lost without YOU. This post is more of a way for me to glide through BlogHer knowing that my readers are in safe hands. They are actually MY hands, but I am writing this on Thursday, July 26th, but you will not see this until August 1st (ta-dah!).
For the next five days, I have a lot of plans for MamaNYC. These posts were conceived before you knew they were born, or actually – before you removed the thumbtack from your calendar for a new month to begin. I am digging through my archives and finding some posts that you may have missed out on in the past. I think they are BlogHer Conference Week worthy for a revival. Let me know if you hate ‘em.. I won’t cry. Promise. (No, I don’t!)
Hopefully there is something for everyone to enjoy in the selection below. Can’t find something you like? Feel free to check out MamaNYC’s blog categories to dig even deeper through the archives!
Twitter: Tales of a Follower
Check out a post that I put together not too long ago (December 2011) listing several methods that you can use to discover who follows you on Twitter! Whether you are trying to validate a giveaway entry, network with Twitter users sharing similar interests, or concerned for your safety and privacy, I am sure you will enjoy this post!
So, you just found out that you are pregnant. You begin Google searches for things like "First trimester symptoms", "Morning sickness", and "When can i find out the sex of my baby?". I learned a lot about pregnancy after my son was born, but nothing you would think to look for on the Internet. Check out my list of 10 tips for pregnant women that should be read immediately after that first positive test.
This pregnancy advice post covers tips such as: "Be Patient With Inquiries & Opinions", "Don’t Cry If You Can’t Sleep (or do anything else)", and "Remember To Eat Wisely". These are the things your mom didn’t tell you about pregnancy!
Yum! You are definitely going to need a nice Italian dinner after reading the posts above (especially if you are pregnant and caught my tips in Pregnancy 101!). Take a gander at my favorite Sicilian Sauce and Meatballs recipe, which is sure to make it onto your dinner table tonight!
WordPress SPAM BOTS & Bloggers:
Funniest SPAM Comments I Don’t Approve!
Just to toss in a few laughs, I thought that my SPAM Comments post was worth digging out of the archives. These comments never grow old, but they do get funnier and funnier every day! I am going to start rolling out a monthly series featuring the months Funniest Spam Comments, so check this old post and come back later for more!
There are many (many) challenges that we face as bloggers. Some may be easy to overcome, but other difficulties will be a lifelong struggle for any blogger. One of my biggest challenges has been concentrating, keeping up a good (and fast) pace, and writing faster!
Although I want to remain constant and provide a top quality blog post for my readers, I am struggling with the ability to churn material out at a faster rate. Do you suffer from procrastination? Join me and face the challenge with a new list of tips in Blogging 101!
With the 2012 Summer Olympics underway in London, I have put together a great list of inspirational quotes. These quotes feature Olympians, public figures, or simple motivational sayings credited anonymously. Check them out and get your inspiration on!
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for Day #2!
