TRIA Perfecting Blue Light Skincare Device

Two months ago I discussed the TRIA Perfecting Blue Light Acne Treatment skincare device, which is a handheld in-home treatment device used to improve skin against breakouts and complexion issues. I promised all of you that I would be back with an acne treatment review based on my experience with TRIA, so here I am! The TRIA blue light therapy skincare device essentially aims to successfully eliminate acne-causing bacteria found deep within the skin, leaving you with a clear, radiant, and clear complexion. 

I am back now with a followup and to share my experience so far with the Tria Blue Light Acne Treatment device. Learn about the results I saw over the last few weeks and my reaction to blue light therapy. Is this device working for my skin, or am I still waiting to see results?  While I don’t think it would be beneficial to reiterate the entire initial posts that I published 2-months ago, I will give you all a refresher!

Basically, I grew up with terrible skin. Acne and blackheads were a constant problem as a teenager, which eventually resulted in a long and tough Accutane treatment. I will say that it helped, but adult acne was still a concern. Although my skin had cleared up (a lot!), I have always dealt with the occasional pimple (or 3) and blackheads. (Who doesn’t?! Oh, you don’t? Ah, damn.)

Starting off with my new TRIA Perfecting Blue Light showed results, but it wasn’t until the 2nd or 3rd week that I began to receive noticeable results. My husband and friends actually started to notice and asked me what I had been doing differently since my skin appeared clearer and glowed. Was my face glowing because I was pregnant? No, I beg to differ and will give TRIA all the credit for that one!

The entire experience with my TRIA blue light acne treatment device was very rewarding! I really enjoyed this acne treatment review campaign since it was rewarding and required very little time out of my day. Moms know how important and precious each second of our day can be, so I was elated to hear that this was only going to take 5-minutes daily.

I don’t think I could have considered a daily treatment that required even a minute more of my time! TRIA’s handheld skincare device definitely scores an A+ for busy moms! How could I resist the urge to review a device that would help to get rid of acne and present a clear and radiant complexion for 5-minutes each day?

Results Rundown:

♦ Using my TRIA Blue Light device for only 5-minutes each night was a lot easier to remember than I had anticipated! I think there were only 3-4 nights that I forgot, but I was reminded when my complexion started to reverse in results. As the blackheads reappeared, I remembered how important it was to stay on top and include TRIA into my nightly regimen. 

♦ The TRIA Blue Light treatment is warm, but definitely a safe and relaxing temperature. I did not feel like my face was going to burn or irritate. Warm felt good, which was a great feeling after washing my face with my normal cleansers! I began to look forward to my 5-minute treatment so that I could feel the warmth on my skin. This was definitely a relaxing feeling and I felt pampered by my TRIA each night! 

♦ Dry skin, irritation, redness? Nope! This was perhaps my favorite part of TRIA (beyond the results themselves!). While other devices make it noticeable to yourself and others that a skincare treatment has just been done, I did not feel or see any distinguishing red flags that would alert the media: "This woman has just conducted a skincare treatment. Notice red and irritated skin!" Not with TRIA! My skin would feel warm and soft, but there were no obnoxiously obvious signs that I had been under a TRIA treatment for 5-minutes. I use other treatments that can only be done at night, or when I know that I will be indoors the morning after. There is nothing worse than feeling embarrassed to go outdoors because your skin is irritated due to a skincare treatment, so TRIA definitely gets an A+ in that department!

♦ I noticed the greatest improvements made around my chin, which was once plagued with small (but noticeably annoying) blackheads. I blame myself since I am always holding my chin if I am reading or working on my laptop (hold my head up to try and stay away when I work late nights to bring you all the best reviews I can find!)

My initial discovery of the positive results around my chin and side of my mouth was made 4-weeks after I began using the TRIA Blue Light device. I was actually holding my chin while reading a fellow bloggers post when I felt a softer area that I was not used to feeling. I quickly grabbed the closest mirror and took a look at the chin which was once filled with tiny, annoying, and pesty blackheads.  Could this be true? Where had they all gone? After years of suffering from annoyances on my chin, I was thrilled with this discovery!
