My name is Nicole Napolitano and I am a full-time professional parenting blogger and work-at-home mom of two adorable and vivacious children (boy - 6 & girl - 2.5). I decided to develop MamaNYC in 2010 shortly (1-month) after transitioning from work-a-holic Internet marketing pro to the shoes of a stay-at-home mom (bored!). As a dedicated business manager for over 9-years, I was determined and positive that I would once again be a successful business woman -- whether or not I had a diaper bag tagging along! I am a New York City native, but relocated with my husband and our two kids to sunny Los Angeles in the summer of 2014. Leaving everything behind was scary, but it's time to make new memories. My interests include web design, Internet marketing, product development and research, SEO, movies, friends, and spending time with my family.

  1. I always go to the Denver Botanic Gardens plant sale and get something there. I add on the card that I will be over to plant the plant.

  2. Thank you for the ideas. I shall tell my daughter-in-laws/sons to look at this site for ideas on what to give me!

  3. Those are great ideas for expectant moms 🙂 I thought you meant “veteran” as in military service so I was confused for a minute, ha ha ha. There are some really cute pieces of jewelry and I like that the gifts with humanity jewelry is fair trade.

    1. LOL, Char! I noticed that after I posted and hoped everyone would get what I meant.. oye! I’ve looked at it a few times MYSELF with confusion. Not the best choice of words I guess… either way – we are veterans of parenthood, right? 🙂

  4. Thanks for such great ideas! 😀 These suggestions are really nice and I’ve been looking to get my mother a little something extra in addition to what I’m already giving her. The unique GiftsWithHumanity seems like a beautiful choice; my mom’s always been the humanitarian, loving and charitable person, and I’m sure she’d appreciate the thought behind it.
